There is a particular kind of magic in watching a mountaineering brand learn to bloom. For the third chapter of her ongoing collaboration with The North Face, Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen takes performance wear somewhere it has never been asked to go: into softness.
The palette is grounded: olive, black, the green of weather closing in while her signature 3D flowers climb across a sculptural Base Camp duffel and the now-cult "Shandal," half sandal, half shoe. Nothing here mimics function. It holds it, softly.
"This season was about lightness," Bahnsen said. "Not just in weight, but in spirit."
